ORORO Heated Apparel Battery Guide
Our ORORO heated apparel, including heated gloves, heated jackets, and more, use different types of batteries to achieve the best performance in heating and comfortability. If you’re interested in wearable technology or just what you’re putting on your body, you’ll find this guide informative!
Types of ORORO Batteries
- Mini 5K Apparel Battery
- B19G Apparel Battery
- BG1800 Gloves Battery
- B22A Gloves Battery
- BS3250 Socks Battery
For heated clothing like jackets, sweatshirts, and vests, the areas of the heating elements cover more space, which requires larger capacity and output to produce the heat. We make our apparel battery with a 5200 mAh capacity, which delivers performance equal to the market-leading 10,000mAh @3.7V with higher efficiency and power output up to 7.4V. The apparel battery is certified to provide up to 10 working hours. To optimize the use of battery, from year 2022, we upgrade our apparel battery to Mini 5K battery, which is smaller, lighter, and faster-charging, but also provides equivalent warmth and heating time for a better wearing experience.
When we designed the heated gloves and mittens, it was challenging work to construct the battery in a small enough size that could fit in the tiny pocket on the glove or mitten, while still maintaining optimum comfort. The glove battery’s measurements are 2.6 x 1.6 x 0.6 (inch), designed like that so when you move your hands within the heated gloves, you won’t feel the weight of the battery. The battery’s capacity is at 1800mAh at 7.4V, which provides a satisfying 7 working hours of heat. From year 2022, we develop the all-new B22A battery for the heated gloves and heated scarves larger, featuring larger capacity and faster charging.
From the experience we gleaned making smaller batteries, we developed the socks battery in a long-column shape that could be neatly placed along your calf. The socks’ 3350 mAh batteries have an output of 3.63V, generating toasty warmth to your feet for a whole workday.
Charging Your ORORO Battery
The battery will go dormant when it goes for long periods without use, so the capacity will be lower than normal. It is easy to activate and restore the capacity after a full charge.
Different batteries are made with different specifications. You should only use ORORO chargers to charge ORORO batteries to prevent damage to the battery and other potential risks.
The battery can be charged between 32 ℉ and 113 ℉. Don’t charge at extreme cold or hot temperatures, which would damage the capacity and the life span of the battery.
How can I tell if the battery is fully charged?
When the B19G/Mini 5K apparel battery or the B22A gloves battery or the BG3250 socks battery is fully charged, the 4 orange LED lights turn solid.
When the BG1800 gloves battery is fully charged, the LED light on the charger turns from red to green.
Storing Your ORORO Battery
Please keep the battery a certain power level (neither empty nor fully-charged) if you plan to store it for a long time.
To better maintain the performance, it is better to charge the battery every 3-6 months.
Store the battery where the temperature is 77±2℉.
Store the battery pack where the relative humidity is 65±20% RH.
